After 25 years, including a year in the hometown of PopCultureNetwork (Springfield, IL), GIJoeCon has come to and end. It was announced on their official Facebook page with one simple post:

With Hasbro all but completely abandoning the line in 2016, the future of the convention was called into question, as was the entire franchise, but it seemed that the people behind the convention might be able to keep the home fire burning. It appears that this is no longer the case.

Farewell GIJoeCon. You will be missed.
