New York, NY\u2014December 14, 2018\u2014Marvel is excited to announce that this spring, Eisner Award\u2013winner Saladin Ahmed (Black Bolt, Exiles<\/em>) and rising star Minkyu Jung (Batgirl, Nightwing<\/em>) will take the reins of one of Marvel\u2019s most beloved new characters in THE MAGNIFICENT MS. MARVEL #1!<\/p>\n

\u201cI think she\u2019s really the face of everything that\u2019s new and fresh and exciting and \u201821st century\u2019 at Marvel, and with superheroes in general. To be given stewardship of that is a big deal to me,\u201d\u00a0Ahmed told\u00a0Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in an exclusive announcement. \u201cIt\u2019s always thrilling being given responsibility over a beloved character. It\u2019s particularly meaningful for me to be taking over from Willow.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just seems so incredible that this character, who was just going to be a fun project for both of us loosely influenced by Sana\u2019s own experiences growing up, had become a cultural phenomenon that was going to outlive us both,\u201d current\u00a0Ms. Marvel<\/em>\u00a0writer G. Willow Wilson also told\u00a0EW<\/em>. \u201cGiven that was true, I really wanted to be cognizant of the fact that superheroes thrive with a multiplicity of voices telling their stories. I wanted to leave on a high note.\u201d<\/p>\n
