LOS ANGELES, CA (January 12, 2018<\/span><\/span>) \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>BOOM! Studios and WWE today announced\u00a0WWE WRESTLEMANIA 2018 SPECIAL #1<\/strong>, celebrating WWE\u2019s annual pop-culture extravaganza. This oversized one-shot features WWE Superstars John Cena, The Miz, Jeff Hardy and more, including the untold story of the legendary WrestleMania III match between \u201cMacho Man\u201d Randy Savage and Ricky \u201cThe Dragon\u201d Steamboat! Writers Ryan Ferrier (Kong on The Planet of The Apes<\/em>), Tini Howard (Assasinistas<\/em>), Lan Pitts (WWE<\/em>) and Julian May (WWE Survivor Series 2017 Special<\/em>) are joined by artists Kendall Goode (Maze Runner: The Death Cure<\/em>) and Rodrigo Lorenzo (WWE<\/em>) for the biggest WWE comic of the season!<\/p>\n

\u201cWrestleMania is the Ultimate Thrill Ride for the WWE Universe, and our goal is to bring that same spirit to the comics pages.\u201d said Chris Rosa, Associate Editor, BOOM! Studios. \u201cThis year,\u00a0WWE WRESTLEMANIA 2018 SPECIAL #1<\/strong>\u00a0focuses on some of the biggest moments in sports entertainment history, ranging from classics like the matches between Macho Man and The Dragon, to \u00a0shockers like The Miz\u2019s WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania 27.\u201d<\/p>\n

WWE WRESTLEMANIA 2018 SPECIAL #1<\/strong>\u00a0features a main cover by Rahzzah (Luke Cage<\/em>) and an NWO variant cover by Marco D\u2019Alfonso (Avengers<\/em>). This special is the latest release from BOOM! Studios\u2019 eponymous imprint, home to a world-class group of licensed comic book series and ambitious original series, including\u00a0Mighty Morphin Power Rangers<\/em>,\u00a0Planet of the Apes<\/em>,\u00a0Big Trouble in Little China<\/em>,\u00a0Victor LaValle\u2019s Destroyer<\/em>,\u00a0Mech Cadet Yu<\/em>,\u00a0Grass Kings<\/em>, and\u00a0Klaus<\/em>.<\/p>\n
