New York, NY \u2014 March 25, 2019 \u2014 <\/strong>This weekend, Marvel unveiled its 2019 Publishing Slate to a hall of fans attending Marvel\u2019s Next Big Thing panel during this year\u2019s Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo. Hosted by Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski along with some of Marvel\u2019s biggest creators, the panel recapped some of\u00a0the weekend\u2019s biggest Marvel Comics news<\/a>\u00a0and teased what\u2019s next in the Marvel Universe \u2013 pointing to a yet-to-be-revealed story in December.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re only a few months into 2019, and we\u2019ve already seen how our amazing fans \u2013 all of you \u2013 are inspiring some of the most outstanding storytelling in comics to date,\u201d said Cebulski. \u201cWhether you choose to read your favorite Marvel books \u2013 like the Immortal Hulk, Venom, Avengers: No Road Home\u2026or you want to read about the entire Marvel Universe \u2013 there\u2019s truly a story for every type of fan to dive into and experience this year. With that in mind, this new publishing slate for Marvel Comics is a guide to help you see where things are going and choose your favorite stories and characters to follow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since the convention\u2019s opening on Friday, attendees have received\u00a0<\/strong>thrilling new looks at Marvel\u2019s world-shaking\u00a0WAR OF THE REALMS<\/strong>\u00a0series, written by Jason Aaron and drawn by\u00a0Young Gun<\/a>\u00a0Russell Dauterman; the deadly\u00a0ABSOLUTE CARNAGE<\/strong>\u00a0event, written by Donny Cates and drawn by Ryan Stegman; and the next monumental chapter for the X-Men with\u00a0HOUSE OF X<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0POWERS OF X<\/strong>, written by Jonathan Hickman and drawn by\u00a0Young Gun<\/a>\u00a0Pepe Larraz and R.B. Silva respectively.<\/p>\n

Each of these standalone series will introduce fans to groundbreaking new ideas and shocking implications for the Marvel Universe, setting the scene for Marvel\u2019s most iconic and popular Super Heroes later this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Marvel Universe is a tapestry of connections, with hidden clues and incredible details woven into every story. Starting next month, get ready for some of the biggest stories ever in the pages of Marvel Comics!<\/p>\n

This April, Marvel\u2019s\u00a0WAR OF THE REALMS<\/strong>\u00a0commences, featuring Marvel\u2019s greatest heroes such as Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel! The dark sorcerer Malekith wages a war that has spread from one otherworldly realm to the next, razing each one to the ground as his armies move from conquest to conquest. Now there\u2019s only one realm left standing: ours.<\/p>\n

This July, Marvel\u2019s\u00a0HOUSE OF X\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0POWERS OF X<\/strong>\u00a0will mark the next major milestone in X-Men history. Since their introduction by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby over 50 years ago, fans around the world have followed the extraordinary stories of the X-Men through seminal moments like Giant-Size X-Men, 1991\u2019s X-Men #1, Age of Apocalypse, and New X-Men.
