BOOM! Studios today unveiled a first look at\u00a0BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER #6<\/strong>, \u00a0in partnership with 20th Century Fox Consumer Products, where acclaimed artist David L\u00f3pez (Captain Marvel<\/em>) joins Eisner Award-nominated writer Jordie Bellaire (Redlands<\/em>), along with series creator and story consultant Joss Whedon (the visionary writer\/director behind\u00a0Firefly, Marvel\u2019s The Avengers<\/em>, and more), to reimagine the groundbreaking pop culture phenomenon. Available in stores July 2019.<\/p>\n

How far would you go for your best friend? Xander is becoming the very thing the Scoobies fight against every night: a vampire. Buffy is tearing through Sunnydale in search of a mythical cure while trying to stop Mistress Drusilla from opening the Hellmouth, and Willow may have found something that could fix Xander and save the day but comes at an impossibly high price. \u00a0But magic always comes at a cost\u2014is Willow willing to lay everything on the line and make a sacrifice so final that nothing will ever be the same again?<\/p>\n

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER #6<\/strong>\u00a0features cover art by Mondo illustrator Marc Aspinall, and acclaimed artists Kevin Wada (She-Hulk<\/em>), Alexa Sharpe (Lumberjanes<\/em>), Becca Carey (Bitch Planet<\/em>), and Ethan Young (Firefly<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Buffy The Vampire Slayer<\/em>\u00a0premiered on the WB Network on March 10th, 1997. The Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated series, which ran for seven seasons from 1997-2003, starred Sarah Michelle Gellar as \u201cBuffy Summers.\u201d Chosen to battle vampires, demons and other forces of darkness, Buffy was aided by her Watcher, Rupert Giles, and a circle of friends known as the \u201cScooby Gang.\u201d<\/p>\n

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER #6\u00a0<\/strong>is the newest release from BOOM! Studios\u2019 eponymous imprint, home to critically acclaimed original series, including\u00a0Abbott<\/em>from Saladin Ahmed and Sami Kivel\u00e4;\u00a0Bone Parish\u00a0<\/em>from Cullen Bunn and Jonas Scharf;\u00a0Grass Kings\u00a0<\/em>from Matt Kindt and Tyler Jenkins; and\u00a0Klaus\u00a0<\/em>from Grant Morrison and Dan Mora.
