Titan Comics<\/em>\u00a0are thrilled to announce two new projects based on\u00a0The Prisoner<\/em>, licensed by ITV Studios Global Entertainment,\u00a0<\/em>to coincide with the 50th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of the surreal 1960\u2019s cult TV classic in 2018: an oversized artist edition of a lost comic book classic by comic book legends\u00a0Jack Kirby<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Gil Kane<\/strong>; as well as a brand-new comic series set in the world of\u00a0The Prisoner<\/em>by celebrated writer\u00a0Peter Milligan<\/strong>\u00a0(X-Statix<\/em>,\u00a0The Mummy<\/em>) and artist\u00a0Colin Lorimer<\/strong>\u00a0(The Hunt<\/em>,\u00a0Harvest<\/em>).<\/p>\n

First shown on Canadian and UK TV screens in 1967,\u00a0The Prisoner<\/em>\u00a0was co-created, written, directed and starred Patrick McGoohan (Scanners, Braveheart<\/em>).\u00a0Titan\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0new unmissable comic collections and comic series are set to coincide with the 50th<\/sup>\u00a0Anniversary of the first US transmission in 1968.<\/p>\n

In July,\u00a0Titan Comics<\/em>\u00a0will publish an art-sized, hardcover collection of Jack Kirby, Gil Kane and Steve Englehart\u2019s long-lost, previously unpublished\u00a0The Prisoner\u00a0<\/em>comic strips based on the cult classic.<\/p>\n

This special oversized collectors edition will contain the entire 17 page Jack Kirby strip, the first six pages of which were inked and lettered by Mike Royer, as well as 18 pages of pencils drawn by legendary comic artist Gil Kane.<\/p>\n

In addition to reprinting these rare pages, this collection also features unmissable bonus archive material including facsimiles of the original script as written by Steve Englehart.<\/p>\n
