The Vampire with a Soul Reimagined in Thrilling and Historic New Comic Book Series in July 2019<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

BOOM! Studios in partnership with 20th Century Fox Consumer Products today revealed a first look at the latest issue of the highly praised reimagining of the brooding vampire\u2014ANGEL #3<\/strong>\u00a0by acclaimed writer Bryan Edward Hill (Batman, American Carnage<\/em>) and artist Gleb Melnikov (Saban\u2019s Go Go Power Rangers<\/em>), along with visionary writer and director Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Marvel\u2019s The Avengers<\/em>), available July 31, 2019.<\/p>\n

Meet Angel, a vampire cursed with a soul who has spent centuries protecting humanity from the monsters that lurk in the dark\u2026including himself. Now, looking for redemption for the atrocities committed by the monster he was when he was first turned at the age of 18, Angel stumbles upon a shocking truth: one of the last vampires he sired is looking for a way to open a portal to a Hell dimension and the only person who can stop it is a certain Slayer from Sunnydale who he\u2019s never met\u2026but may now be his greatest enemy.<\/p>\n

Darkness has possessed another innocent…and Angel has no choice but to fight them. Tracking this evil to a psychiatric hospital, Angel must find a way to save the host of this deadly and elusive demon, or risk having yet another life on his conscience. Then, after rescuing one of the hospital\u2019s patients, Fred Burkle, Angel may just have a new ally. But will she be able to help him . . . or is she the reason he\u2019s battling this monster in the first place?<\/p>\n

Created by visionary writer and director Joss Whedon (Marvel\u2019s The Avengers<\/em>\u00a0film franchise),\u00a0Angel\u00a0<\/em>premiered on the WB Network on October 5th, 1999 and was a spin-off from\u00a0Buffy the Vampire Slayer.<\/em>\u00a0The series ran for five seasons from 1999\u20132004, starring David Boreanaz as Angel, the tortured vampire destined to walk the earth with a soul who moved to LA to set up shop as a supernatural private investigator. Despite Angel\u2019s best efforts to deal with the sins of his past all by himself, Angel Investigations soon became home to other lost souls searching for redemption and willing to fight by his side.<\/p>\n

ANGEL\u00a0<\/strong>is the newest release from BOOM!
