Creators including\u00a0Alan Robert<\/strong>\u00a0(Life of Agony),\u00a0Eric Peterson<\/strong>\u00a0(Testament),\u00a0Keith Buckley<\/strong>\u00a0(Every Time\u00a0 I Die),\u00a0Burton C. Bell<\/strong>\u00a0(Fear Factory),\u00a0Steve Niles<\/strong>\u00a0(30 Days of Night<\/em>),\u00a0Tony Lee<\/strong>\u00a0(Beartooth: The Journey Below<\/em>),\u00a0and illustrators\u00a0Brian Ewing<\/strong>,\u00a0Ryan J. Downey<\/strong>,\u00a0Erik Rodriguez<\/strong>,\u00a0Ryan Kelly<\/strong>,\u00a0Steve Chanks<\/strong>,\u00a0Kevin Mellon<\/strong>,\u00a0John Pearson<\/strong>, and\u00a0Danijel Zezelj<\/strong>\u00a0will each offer a unique interpretation inspired by the lyrics and music to create a whole new way to experience this landmark work of heavy art.<\/p>\n

Fronting this legacy of admiration and talent, legendary tattoo artist and friend of the band\u00a0Paul Booth<\/strong>\u00a0provides the stunning cover art, showing the grisly aftermath of the sucker-punch cover photo from the original album.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m not sure I can even express what a tremendous honor it has been to work on this project for\u00a0Pantera<\/strong>,\u201d Booth says. \u201cThe first music tour I ever went out on,\u00a0Pantera<\/strong>\u00a0headlined. That was back in \u201894 with Sepultura and Biohazard. To this day, I still compare every tour I\u2019ve been on to that one as it really was the most special for me. This project has been an awesome experience and I greatly thank everyone involved!”<\/p>\n

Pantera<\/strong>\u2019s 1992 album\u00a0Vulgar Display of Power<\/em>\u00a0marked another turning point in the band\u2019s sound, as vocalist\u00a0Philip Anselmo<\/strong>\u00a0strengthened his hardcore vocal assault, backed by the trademark guitar crunch of\u00a0Dimebag Darrell<\/strong>\u00a0and rounded out by bassist\u00a0Rex Brown<\/strong>\u00a0and drummer\u00a0Vinnie Paul<\/strong>. The resulting sound was every bit as powerful as the album\u2019s visceral cover art. Their most commercially successful record to that point, the album laid the groundwork for the band\u2019s further domination of heavy radio and video airplay. Certified gold only a year later, this album has stood the test of time as one of the defining moments for the band and for the enduring legacy of heavy metal.<\/p>\n
