BOOM! Studios announced today Hugo and Nebula Award-nominated author Victor LaValle (Sabretooth, Victor LaValle\u2019s Destroye<\/em>r), rising star artist Jo Mi-Gyeong (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance<\/em>), colorist Brittany Peer, and letterer AndWorld Design, will return to the world of the highly acclaimed sci-fi adventure series\u00a0EVE\u00a0<\/strong>for a\u00a0thrilling new five-issue sequel comic book series,\u00a0EVE: CHILDREN OF THE MOON<\/strong>, in October 2022.<\/p>\n

The long-awaited return of the best-selling sci-fi adventure is finally here! Eve seemingly saved the world once already, embarking on a perilous quest to protect what remained of humanity after a deadly virus outbreak\u2026 but the story doesn\u2019t end there! Eve, Eve\u2019s sister, and Wexler face new challenges, and a darkness from the past.<\/p>\n

Victor LaValle is the author of seven works of fiction including\u00a0The Ballad of Black Tom<\/em>, which was a finalist for a Nebula Award, a Hugo Award, a Bram Stoker Award, and the Theodore Sturgeon Award. His latest novel,\u00a0The Changeling,<\/em>\u00a0was released in June 2017. His other books have won the American Book Award, the Shirley Jackson Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Key to Southeast Queens. LaValle is also the writer and creator of the acclaimed comic book series Eve and\u00a0Victor LaValle\u2019s Destroyer\u00a0<\/em>with BOOM! Studios. He teaches at Columbia University and lives in New York City with his wife and kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen\u00a0EVE\u00a0<\/strong>came out I didn\u2019t know if readers would love her and her journey as much as I did. It was a gift when they embraced her as much as they did. And when we were done with issue #5, I realized there was more of her story to tell. But not just hers. Jo Mi-Gyeong is a comic artist and illustrator based out of Seoul, Korea, best known for her work on Victor LaValle\u2019s\u00a0Eve\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance<\/em>\u00a0for BOOM! Studios and the original comic book series\u00a0Beastlands<\/em>.<\/p>\n
