The Slayer Returns With New Comics, Graphic Novels and More at the Award-Winning Publisher<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 20, 2018)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 BOOM! Studios today announced it has acquired the comic book and graphic novel publishing license to Joss Whedon\u2019s\u00a0BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER<\/strong>, the groundbreaking pop culture phenomenon. BOOM! Studios will release new monthly comic book series, limited series, original graphic novels and more that officially expand the rich mythology created in television, novels and beyond, in partnership with 20th Century Fox Consumer Products.<\/p>\n

Created by visionary writer and director Joss Whedon (Marvel\u2019s The Avengers<\/em>\u00a0film franchise),\u00a0Buffy The Vampire Slayer<\/em>\u00a0premiered on the WB Network on March 10th, 1997. The Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated series, which ran for seven seasons from 1997-2003, stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as \u201cBuffy Summers.\u201d Chosen to battle vampires, demons and other forces of darkness, Buffy is aided by a Watcher who guides and teaches her as she surrounds herself with a circle of friends called the \u201cScooby Gang.\u201d<\/p>\n

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER<\/strong>\u00a0is the latest release from BOOM! Studios\u2019 eponymous imprint, home to a world-class group of licensed comic book series and ambitious original series, including Joss Whedon\u2019s\u00a0Firefly<\/em>,\u00a0Mighty Morphin Power Rangers<\/em>,\u00a0Planet of the Apes<\/em>,\u00a0Abbott<\/em>,\u00a0Mech Cadet Yu<\/em>,\u00a0Grass Kings<\/em>, and\u00a0Klaus<\/em>.<\/p>\n
