SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA (February 13, 2017) – Syrinscape, the award-winning app that creates movie-like, immersive, atmospheric sound for tabletop games such as Pathfinder RPG, Starfinder RPG, Mutants & Masterminds and more, is thrilled to announce the addition of the Shadows of Esteren Roleplaying Game to the Syrinscape library with its own custom-created immersive SoundSet, released today and available now on Syrinscape.com for $5.99, or as part of various subscription packages.

The Shadows of Esteren world is of dark fantasy, medieval horror and romance. The game’s official campaign setting, Dearg, comes alive with its own soundtrack composed by Jure Peternel and performed by the Budapest Symphonic Orchestra and that soundtrack is now available within Syrinscape, which turns listening to the Dearg album into a story-enriched journey, each of the music tracks cradled in its own immersive sound environment. Listeners will trigger each track of the album individually with each natural sound environment blending to a new location.

“All of the SoundSets produced by Syrinscape are awesome, but this one is so epic – it’s sure to inspire my players into heroic deeds,” says a Syrinscape subscriber.

Further, Shadows of Esteren will host an exclusive concert event in Paris on February 17 featuring singer Clarisse May and the string quartet of the Scoring Orchestra performing Rise and Adeliane, the third and fourth albums inspired by the Shadows of Esteren RPG. The concert will also feature special guest, renowned composer and Syrinscape creator Benjamin Loomes, who will use the Syrinscape app to fill the venue with the sounds of vicious storms and vast landscapes, melancholy and water. Esteren: Adeliane Concert in Paris takes place February 17 at Eglise Réformée de l’Etoile and tickets are available now.

“The Shadows of Esteren creators take a beautifully immersive, transmedia approach to the roleplaying game experience that Syrinscape fits with perfectly and it’s our honor to add the game to the Syrinscape library,” says Benjamin Loomes, Syrinscape’s creative director. “We can’t wait for fans to try their favorite medieval horror game with the new dynamic soundscapes and effects.
Team Syrinscape and Team Esteren will also join forces at the upcoming International Festival des Jeux in Cannes, France, February 23 – 25. Stop by the Shadows of Esteren/Syrinscape booth #06-17 to get a demo of the game and tips on incorporating the power of sound.

“Since the beginning, music has been an integral part of Shadows of Esteren and whether around a gaming table or at a concert, the addition of Syrinscape brings that experience to the next level,” says Nel, Shadows of Esteren author and creative director. “Syrinscape creates a powerful listening experience and we’re thrilled to be collaborating with them.”
