DC SOLICITS THE MAN OF STEEL WEEKLY MINISERIES IN THE APRIL PREVIEWS, WRITTEN BY BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS

Acclaimed writer Brian Michael Bendis makes his DC debut in the pages of ACTION COMICS #1000 in a story featuring art by Jim Lee – and that story continues in the six-issue weekly miniseries THE MAN OF STEEL, soliciting in the April Previews!
All six issues of THE MAN OF STEEL feature connecting covers by Ivan Reis and Joe Prado, with stories illustrated by a host of top comics artists!
The action begins on May 30 with THE MAN OF STEEL #1 (APR180145) , featuring art by Reis and Prado. In this issue, a new era begins for Superman as a threat from his earliest origins reemerges to destroy the Last Son of Krypton. As Superman struggles to come to grips with what has happened to his wife and son, he must also face a new threat that’s determined to burn down Metropolis!

And back at the Daily Planet, everyone wants to know what’s going on with Lois Lane. How can Clark hold on to the secret of what happened to Lois and Jon much longer? THE MAN OF STEEL #2 goes on sale on June 6.
Then, in THE MAN OF STEEL #3 ( APR180147) , with art by Ryan Sook, the merciless killer and zealot calling himself Rogol Zaar has searched the cosmos for Superman-and when he reaches the Fortress of Solitude, his actions will cut Superman to the core. THE MAN OF STEEL #3 hits stores on June 13.
And in THE MAN OF STEEL #4 ( APR180148) , with art by Kevin Maguire, Rogol Zaar has committed a string of atrocities across the cosmos that have led him to the Fortress of Solitude-and now Superman and Supergirl plan to crush his schemes!
