Make Mine Marvel!

It all starts today…

Marvel has had a tough run of things the last few years. The push to diversify the line at the expense of the familiar characters fans wanted to read has pushed Marvel’s sales way down, forced the ouster of their EIC, and can be considered a flop since most of the titles introduced during this period have been cancelled, are set to be cancelled, or are in the process of having all the changes undone. “Legacy” was supposed to fix the problems of the MU, but fans saw the “Generations” books that kicked off the line-wide refocus as a poor attempt to justify the changes instead of undoing them. Can Marvel set things right this time? Are they willing to abandon the mindset that alienated the people who actually buy and read comics? Time will tell, but I hope Marvel has a better year in 2018. -ed.
