Comic Book Chronicles Ep. 320: Far From Home, Near To Thee

Note: There was a then unknown but weirdly unavoidable technical difficulty at the beginning of the audio. It’s worse on the video, sadly. It smooths out part way through.

Welcome to another exciting episode of Comic Book Chronicles!

Note: There was an unavoidable audio issue at the beginning of the episode that irons out as the show goes on. Apologies in advance. As heard in the intro, trust that it bothers Roddykat twice as much as it may or may not have irritated you.

This week, Spider-Man: Far From Home releases and the guys didn’t have to go on movie protocol for it. Happy Fourth of July to those that celebrate! To those that don’t, totally valid option, as well! So yes, Far From Home is out and Agent_70 and Roddykat have both seen it and talk about it at length at the beginning of the show. Spoiler light, of course! And with that, a good bit of news comes from the movie’s star, Tom Holland. Naturally. Has that Gambit movie’s ashes finally been spread to the wind?

There is a good crop of books in this week’s new releases and the guys over the one’s they’ve read. Noteworthy, Transformers #8 comes with a boost pack for the Transformers Trading Card Game, definitely worth the price of the book. Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider ends its current run.  Also coming to a seemingly abrupt end, the Walking Dead comic book ends with this week’s issue #193. There is discussion on that, for certain. We see the beginning of the ‘Acts of Evil’ event with Ms. Marvel Annual #1, as well. There are other bits of news, but what you REALLY care about is….#kliqsoftheweek! Bon Appétit!
